  Equipment List for Open Water Certification Dives
  •     Mask

  •     Fins

  •     Booties

  •     Snorkel

  •     Buoyancy Compensating Device (BCD)

  •     Regulator setup: Primary Regulator,Alternate Air source (Octopus) Gauges or computer

  •     Watch or timing device (or computer)

  •     Compass

  •     Knife or Shears

  •     2 Air tanks ( 1 for each day)

  •     Weight belt & Weights (35Lbs.)

  •     Wet Suit

  •     Hood (optional, ask your instructor if needed)

  •     Gloves (optional, ask your instructor if needed)

  •     Mask Defog

  •     Logbook (Write name in logbook and on back cover in white box)

  •     Pen

  •     Tarp/blanket to put gear on

  •     Towel

  •     Drink/snacks

  •     Underwater light. Not required. Many instructors suggest a light so you can peek

  •     under rocks and outcroppings for lobsters,fish, etc.

Long Island Scuba rents most items. Hood, gloves, Except knife.
